In solution focused hypnotherapy, we say that negative thoughts go into a stress bucket, and I've mentioned this in previous posts. I've also explained that we have a mechanism to empty the stress bucket, our REM sleep, or dreaming.


As a Solution Focused hypnotherapist, I aim to do 2 things. First, I help to optimise the amount and quality of your REM sleep AND reduce negative thinking so that you have less going into your Stress Bucket. I have an audio file that you will listen to every night before sleep, and this really encourages effective sleep.


Second, I help you to see and really appreciate the good things in your life, as a counter-balance to negative thinking. In time, less negative thinking leads to an emptier Stress Bucket, and you are able to process the contents of your Stress Bucket each night. With effective REM sleep, comes a great night's sleep.
