I found this quote from Peter on a Caregivers website. Here are 5 tips to take care of yourself while you are taking care of someone else.


  1. Take short breaks

    Even 5 mins can help you to recharge your batteries.


  1. Stay connected with friends/family

    Face to face, or by phone, find time to connect with the outside world.


  1. Keep routines simple

    Focus on manageable daily habits and celebrate small wins.


  1. Prioritise sleep

    Focus on consistent rest and a calming bedtime routine.


  1. Practise mindfulness or guided relaxation

    Try calming breathing, mindfulness or guided relaxation. There are lots of low cost or free resources available. My personal favourite is YouTube, but there are many others.
