As a clinical hypnotherapist and psychotherapist, and to maintain my 'registered hypnotherapist' status, I have to undertake Continual Professional Development.
I love doing this, constantly developing my knowledge and finding out about how others use hypnotherapy to help clients.
Today I joined a webinar about using hypnotherapy to support the oncology journey. The presenter, Garry Coles, specialises in this work and has worked with the NHS for many years. It was a fascinating session, discussing how we can support clients while they undergo their NHS treatment.
Garry has used hypnotherapy to help with medical phobias, pain control, the anxiety surrounding their condition, disturbed sleep, and many other issues. He also explained how he is able to support friends and family. Really inspiring both to hear him talk and to hear about hypnotherapy being used in the NHS.
