It's July, and I'm talking about MENOPAUSE

The recent hot weather has inspired my choice of topic for July. I'm going to talk about MENOPAUSE. What's that got to do with the recent heatwave? Well if you know, you know!

Of course, some people sail through perimenopause (generally our 40's) and menopause (usually age 51 or 52). Some women go through menopause much earlier, usually for surgical reasons such as hysterectomy.

For those of you that experienced very few or no symptoms, I'd like to assure that I'm NOT bitter, but this content isn't for you. This is for ladies who suddenly find themselves hot, confused, forgetful, hot, itchy, subject to mood swings, hot, uncertain about the changes to their body and their mind, struggling with brain fog, hot or suddenly unable to live their lives in the way that they used to. Did I mention hot? There's no prize, but you might be able to guess which was one my least favourite symptoms.

Here's some guidance from the NHS.
