So we've worked together on reducing negative thinking, and now we are able to spend less time in primitive brain and more time in intellectual brain. Intellectual brain is where we are able to make well-thought out and balanced decisions, where we can see the world as full of possibilities and where we can see things as they truly are.
Taking small steps, you'll be able to commit to making changes. You may be able to do some research on a work problem, which in turn will enable you to speak to your boss about an issue. Maybe you'll decide to end a conversation that is becoming critical of you, and you may ultimately find the courage to tell someone that their opinion of you is not welcome or even ignore their views.
These changes may happen slowly, but as you take control, your confidence will increase. Some of the benefits are:
The ability to identify and reprogram negative thought patterns.
Learning to access your inner strength and resilience.
Building self-belief.
Creating lasting positive change.
I really can't emphasise enough how important the small steps of change are. Proving that we can do something is like rocket fuel in terms of our confidence.....
Every small positive change we make in ourselves repays us in confidence in the future. Alice Walker
